We're happy to announce that John Coxon has won the 2011 TAFF race, after an interesting race!

The TAFF administrators have decided to extend the deadline for the current race until Tuesday, 26 April. This will enable ballot forms to be handed in at Illustrious, this year's UK Eastercon, and also gives online voters using PayPal facility an extra six weeks to cast their digital ballot.

The administrators of the TransAtlantic Fan Fund have great pleasure in announcing there are no fewer than four candidates for the 2011 westward TAFF journey, a trip which will include the 69th World Science Fiction Convention in Reno, Nevada, 17-21 August 2011.

The candidates are Graham Charnock, John Coxon, Liam Proven and Paul Treadaway.

The ballot will be available shortly from the TAFF website.

The 2011 TAFF race (Europe > North America) will open for nominations on 12 November (the first day of Novacon 40). The nomination process will be closed on 18 December and candidates announced no later than 20 December. Information about the requirements for candidates can be found on LiveJournal.

The race itself will run until 12 March 2011, with the winner attending Renovation, the 69th World SF Convention, in Reno, Nevada, 17-21 August 2011.

The UK is currently hosting Brian Gray and Anne KG Murphy, the winners of the 2010 TAFF race. Look out for them at Eastercon!
